This project title is surrealism tongs.
Firstly, I made Tongs. I was inspired by frogs. When I saw surrealism art, I got a grotesque and mismatched feeling. Then, when I saw the frog, I got a similar feel. It is because, In Korea, the image of frogs is not good. People are surprised by the texture and appearance of the frog and the sudden jumping gesture. So I guess I was affected too. Also, the colour of common frogs is green or brown, which some people do not like because of this colour.
So, I wanted to convey the grotesqueness I felt to the audience by grafting the feeling I received with the tongs. When these tongs are located in the kitchen and pick up some food, grotesque and mismatched emotions can be conveyed. Commonly, frogs have slippery and moisture that is not well textures. So, it is creepy to grab food from frogs’ hands.
Sometimes, these tongs can be not helpful. As you can see, the fulcrum part is relatively weak because I used just one layer, so picking up some heavy stuff is tricky. However, it will be more helpful when people want to pick up light stuff like salad.
If I have one more chance, I want to improve the fulcrum part enormously by using a few-layer.
In conclusion, picking up a salad with the hands of a frog is very strange and unrealistic. I think this is surrealism.

The appearance of Frog in Garden
Through this metal rotation, I got interested in metal and many metal techniques. For example, I could use three different coulors scrubbers for removing engineering spots. And, the blade of a metal sheet can be soft using Deburring, etc.
